Qualifications: King Air Pilot
REQUIREMENTS
- Holds a current Certificate of Completion for initial or recurrent training in a BE-9L 
- Holds a Commercial or Private Pilot Certificate with multi-engine, instrument ratings 
- Holds a valid First or Second Class medical certificate 
- Has total Flight Time of 1,500 hrs. or more with 500 hrs. multi-engine time 
- Is current with instrument proficiency and night flight requirements 
- Must be willing to fly the plane on a year round basis, with the bulk of the flying and extensive travel occurring during our fire season, which runs from March through September 
JOB DUTIES
- Serving as primary pilot flying Dauntless’ King Air C90A (est. flight time – 200 hrs./yr.) 
- Participating in annual Dauntless training exercises, held in early March in North Texas 
- Supporting Dauntless’ fleet of 16 aircraft — typical season starts in the Upper Midwest, transitions to Alaska until early August, then moves about Pacific Northwest and Western States 
- Responsible for transporting Dauntless’ aircraft maintenance personnel and equipment to service the company’s Fire Boss aircraft located at various tanker bases 
- Responsible for transporting Dauntless Fire Boss pilots during their contracted duty cycles 
- Overseeing all maintenance, database updates, regulatory compliance and recordkeeping for the King Air C90A 
- Ensuring the aircraft is operated in accordance with FAR Part 91 
- Maintaining flight IFR, VFR and night proficiency at all times
