Pilatus PC-12 Pilot
Company
Dauntless Air is an aerial firefighting company headquartered in Appleton, MN. We are the largest US operator of a single engine amphibious firefighting aircraft called the Fire Boss. Our fleet consists of 20 firefighting aircraft which principally operate throughout the middle and western US, as well as Alaska. We have key maintenance facilities in South St Paul, MN, Coeur d’Alene, ID and Cleburne, TX. Since 2017, we have doubled the size of our fleet and have greatly expanded our served markets working under contract with state and federal agencies.
about the job
In 2025, we leased a Pilatus PC-12 to support our fleet of Fire Boss aircraft. We are leasing the same aircraft in 2026. Consequently, we are seeking to contract with a professional pilot to crew the aircraft principally during the fire season, which typically runs from May to October. The plane will participate in our annual training exercises held early March at our facility in Cleburne, TX. From there, it will support our fleet starting in May as it transitions to Alaska until early August, then move about the Pacific Northwest and Western States. If wildfire fire conditions dictate, the aircraft could return to the Lower 48 states sooner than August.
